Saturday's qualifying session should be a much better form indicator than pre-season testing but there are a couple of early bets worth having on Sunday’s Bahrain Grand Prix.

Fernando Alonso managed five top-six finishes last year and after a promising pre-season for Alpine the Spanish veteran could be overpriced to kick off the new campiagn by bagging at least eight points.

Yuki Tsunoda burst on to the scene in Bahrain last year with a battling ninth-place finish.

He didn’t live up to that promise for most of the rest of the season, but fourth place in Abu Dhabi at the end of last year suggested we can expect improvement from the Alpha Tauri man this season. Back him for a top-ten finish.
