Dudek looks a good bet to be king of Sweden
Pole has qualified for the semis in all six races so far
Swedish Grand Prix
BT Sport 2, 6pm Saturday
Patryk Dudek has been the model of consistency in this year’s Speedway GP – the only thing missing is a win but he can put that right in Sweden on Saturday.
The Pole, with 15 heat wins chalked up, has qualified for the semis in each of the six races so far.
In four of those meetings the flyer has gone on to reach the final.
That has left him on 75 points, joint second in the rankings and just three points adrift of competition leader Jason Doyle.
In Malilla, Dudek has an obvious advantage being one of three riders who races for the home-track club Dackarna.
The big dangers have to be Doyle and Maciej Janowski, another Dackarna man and in sizzling form having won the last two meetings in Horsens and Cardiff.
Inevitably those two head the betting but Dudek, at 8-1, looks the value given his ultra-consistent record.
Current and four-time world champion Greg Hancock misses the Swedish GP through injury.
