Dovizioso can charge through the field at Phillip Island
Australian Grand Prix
BT Sport 2, 6am Sunday
Marc Marquez will start from pole position for the Australian Grand Prix for the fourth straight year, but the Phillip Island circuit has not always been kind to the Spanish marvel.
The three-time world champion won at the track in 2015 but has also crashed out twice and been disqualified once.
Championship leader Marquez, who has won five times this season, is 4-7 for the victory after outpacing the opposition by 0.3 seconds in qualifying.
However, rain is forecast for the race and that could bring title challenger Andrea Dovizioso into contention.
The Ducati rider crashed in final practice and blamed a resultant lack of confidence for qualifying only 11th.
However, the Italian won from ninth on the grid after a superb battle with Marquez in the closing laps in Japan last weekend.
Recommendation
A Dovizioso
