Formula One pre-season testing report: day two in Barcelona
Charles Leclerc heads the times on his first day with Scuderia
Racing Post Sport will be rounding up the action on each of the eight days of Formula One 2019 pre-season testing at Barcelona as the countdown to the first race gets serious.
Day two highlights
Ferrari again set the pace on the second day of 2019 pre-season action in Barcelona. After Sebastian Vettel was fastest on day one, his new teammate Charles Leclerc kept the Scuderia at the top of the timesheets on Tuesday.
Another F1 rookie, McLaren's Lando Norris, grabbed second with a late run to emulate the position Carlos Sainz had on Monday, but Red Bull new boy Pierre Gasly hit the barriers in the afternoon.
Williams were non-runners again. The team announced that they hope to have their new car at the circuit early on Wednesday morning but they are not likely to be on the track until the afternoon session.

Market moves
Ferrari's odds cotinued to shorten with Vettel's title odds cut from 7-2 to 3-1 while his teammate Leclerc is 9-1 from 10-1 but being taken very seriously by bet365, who go just 6-1 about the man from Monaco.
Champion Lewis Hamilton's odds are just beginning to ease in the wake of Ferrari's fast start and the Briton is 10-11 from 5-6 with Hills. His Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas is 20-1 from 18-1.

What we learned
There were no major surprises on day two but newcomers Leclerc and Norris did their stock no harm by posting similar times to those recorded by their more experienced teammates.
Haas and Alfa Romeo again showed promise in midfield.
And while Mercedes backers might be starting to get edgy at their lowly positions, they did post some impressive long-run performances.
