Andrea Iannone looks value alternative to championship contenders in Japan
Dovizioso odds-on after claiming pole
Japanese Grand Prix
BT Sport 2, 6am Sunday
Andrea Dovizioso is odds-on to keep his slim title hopes alive by winning Sunday morning's Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi.
The Italian edged out Yamaha's Johann Zarco to claim his second pole position of the year, while championship leader Marc Marquez will start only sixth on the grid.
Four-time world champ Marquez must finish ahead of Dovi to take the title this weekend.
Dovizioso has finished on the podium at all the last five races, including two wins, and while Marquez can't be counted out, he is certainly up against it on a weekend when the Ducati has been flying.
An each-way alternative to the big two could be Andrea Iannone, who starts fifth.
Dovi's former Ducati teammate has managed three podiums this season for Suzuki, the most recent of them in Aragon two races ago.
Iannone was third fastest in the final pre-qualifying practice session and looks value at 22-1.
Recommendation
A Iannone
