BT Sport 2, 1pm Sunday

Jorge Lorenzo is 11-10 to win the San Marino Grand Prix after breaking his own lap record at Misano in qualifying on Saturday.

The Spaniard clocked 1:31.629 en route to claiming pole for today’s race and will line up on the front row of the grid with Australian Jack Miller and compatriot Maverick Vinales.

Championship leader Marc Marquez will begin from fifth after crashing out on his second run. The Repsol Honda rider is out to 9-2 from a pre-qualifying 10-3.

Marquez is joined on the second row by Italian Andrea Dovizioso, who has shown enough pace this weekend to suggest he will give favourite and teammate Lorenzo most to think about.

Dovizioso dominated Friday’s free practice with the fastest lap in both sessions and looks sure to be in the mix for a second win of the season.

Recommendation
