Monday's betting preview

Four days of action from the Lee Valley VeloPark come to an end on Monday where all eyes will be on Dame Laura Kenny as she goes for more Commonwealth Games gold for England at 5.07pm in the women's 10km scratch race.

Kenny, who was unplaced in Sunday's 25km points race, has experienced some of the finest moments of her decorated career at the London track, where she claimed the first two of her five Olympic golds in 2012 as well as the world title in the scratch in 2016.

Before Kenny's likely Commonwealth Games swansong, the women's speedsters do battle in the keirin, which starts at 2.02pm, and Canada's Olympic sprint champion Kelsey Mitchell is the favourite to go one better than when claiming silver in both the sprint and team sprint competitions at the Birmingham games.

Luck is always required on the track, particularly in the rough and tumble keirin, but this race still seems likely to develop into a battle between Mitchell, her fellow Canadian Lauriane Genest and Ellesse Andrews, the 22-year-old New Zealander who has claimed two sprint golds at Lee Valley. Andrews was also bizarrely being denied team pursuit silver because she was unable to attend the medal ceremony.

At the prices, it looks worth siding with Andrews as she bids for a third gold. The Kiwi took down Mitchell 2-0 in the sprint final and she should be brimming with confidence heading into an event in which she claimed silver, ahead of both Canadians, at Tokyo 2020.
