Love Island daily: show fallout, market moves and betting odds

All the latest news and talking points from the villa

What's happening?

Only days after their recoupling the cracks are beginning to show in Chris and Harley's romantic endeavours, while Love Island producers left viewers scratching their heads with a startling cliffhanger.

The highlight of Monday's episode was the 'Sidebar of Shame' challenge in which the islanders had to fill in the gaps in newspaper headlines about them back home.

It was bound to end in tears and Chris bore the brunt of the drama after suggesting viewers thought he and India were "meant to be" in answer to one of the questions, to the disgust of an infuriated Harley.

The show concluded with the enraged Geordie storming off after an argument between the pair but that was not the end of the drama.

A preview of the following episode featured Jordan, who recently made things official with couple partner Anna, conceding his head could be turned by recent arrival India.

Betting moves

Jordan and Anna have never really gained the affection of viewers but have been pushed out to 80-1, making them, in bookmakers' eyes, the least likely couple to scoop the £50,000 prize.

The same firm are offering prices on a top-two and top-three finish, with the odds suggest the final trio will be Tommy and Molly-Mae, Ovie and India and Amber and Greg.

Irish rugby player Greg had temporarily left the villa to attend his grandmother's funeral before returning and he and Amber are 6-1 to win the series and 2-1 to make the top two.

Tommy and Molly-Mae remain 4-6 favourites and have been on the drift in recent weeks after limited air time. But Molly-Mae's prominence in the headline challenge may test the long-time market leaders throughout the remaining week.

What might happen next?

While Jordan's potential head-turning could all but kill off any faint hopes he and Anna had of making it all the way, it could do wonders for second favourites Ovie and India.

The duo are facing their first test as a couple after one headline in the challenge suggested India had pursued the basketball player just to win the £50,000.

Should they come through that and the interest from Jordan, they could be cut, especially if Tommy and Molly-Mae continue to fade into the background, and they look like a value bet to win the series.

Recommendation
Ovie Soko and India Reynolds to win Love Island
