There may be fewer than two weeks left but the Love Island producers are doing all they can to stir up a storm in the villa.

Amber Gill and Michael Griffiths engaged in yet another conflab not dissimilar to the hundreds we’ve seen between them before, the male Islanders dressed up as dogs in the latest challenge and Anna Vakili and Jordan Hames enjoyed a night in the hideaway.

But the best drama was saved until last as new girls Harley Brash and India Reynolds invited Ovie Soko and Chris Taylor on dates before Amber was summoned by text to the hideaway terrace by a third new arrival.

Betting moves

With so much drama unfolding around them, market leaders Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague risk flying under the radar and that is reflected in the betting, with Hills pushing them out to 4-9.

Their closest competitors are Curtis Pritchard and Maura Higgins, who are 11-2 shots to win the series.

They have shown a surprising amount of electricity for a pair who only last week would probably have mistaken one another for Love Island crew members and remain 11-8 favourites in the race to finish best of the rest.

Ovie has been cut to 6-1 with some firms to be top male after a good date with Harley but the same cannot be said for Chris who is 66-1 despite getting plenty of laughs out of India in their first meeting.

What might happen next?

Love her or hate her, Amber has been through the wringer this series but she may seek solace in Irish rugby player Greg O'Shea, who made her his first pick for a date.

No matter how many times Michael rules out a rekindling of his partnership with the Geordie, there are always suggestions the pair are set for a fairytale ending together.

Either way, Amber seems too big a character to depart the villa soon and the best-priced 12-1 about her finishing top female is one to keep an eye on.
