Love Island daily: fallout, market moves and odds

Wednesday's talking points after a dramatic night in the villa

What's happening

The end of the girls' stay at Casa Amor was cut-the-tension-with-a-knife dramatic on Tuesday and there's no doubt we are set for a few fiery days in the Love Island villa.

Anton was laughing. It finally looks as if he has found a romantic attachment with new girl Belle and Danny, who has been on a rollercoaster ride in his time on the show having dumped Yewande for Arabella and then seen his new squeeze depart, appears to be settled with Jourdan.

Elsewhere, Maura plumped for new boy Marvin and George's blond good looks proved too good for surfer girl Lucie. Anna has dumped Jordan and hooked up with basketball player Ovie.

Then came the fireworks. Curtis revealed his head had been turned to the shock of the returning girls, just when Amy admitted to her friends that she was in love with the dancer.

They stuck together but it looks set to kick off.

Molly-Mae couldn't hide her joy that Tommy was sticking with her. It all got quite emotional.

But then the bombshell. The girls couldn't believe it when fireman Michael poured petrol on the flames by announcing he was hooking up with new girl Joanna, leaving Geordie nail technician Amber in the process.

The pair had been favourites last week, so he might have just set fire to 50 grand.

Betting moves

The collapse of the Amber-Michael dream team and the Curtis-Amy partnership suffering what could be a huge bump in the road mean the market has opened up for Molly-Mae and boxer Tommy, who are now just 1-3 to claim the big prize.

It is difficult to see which couple may challenge them. Anton has grown into the series and could do well if Belle proves likeable but it is early days.

Molly-Mae scored a lot of points by bursting into tears when Tommy stuck by her. It showed a human side that has not been evident much to the viewing public and they should lap it up.

What might happen next?

The preview for Wednesday's show projected images of rows as the villa got to grips with the fallout of the recoupling.

There had been a general feeling that Amber was unlikely to take rejection well and early indications are that she is going to go down fighting. Maybe literally, who knows?

Curtis has told Amy about his head-turning episode, but we don't know yet whether he has mentioned Jourdan by name. There were signs that his wronged air hostess 'half-girlfriend' wasn't impressed and she was seen telling him what's what.

That's a refreshing change and could boost her popularity.

But one person who looks sure to come out of the whole episode badly is Anna, who was seen taking Michael to task over his re-coupling with Joanna.

Hold on a minute. Didn't she dump nice-bloke Jordan for a basketball player who she was snogging around the Casa Amor pool by the time any of the other girls had unpacked their night bags?

That sort of behaviour is unlikely to sit well with the boys or the public, so she looks an excellent bet to be the seventh girl to be sent home.
