Love Island daily: fallout, market moves and odds

All the latest talking points from the villa

What's happening

The curtain has come down on an explosive week for the Love Island couples but all is far from settled in the villa.

While Maura Higgins’s pursuit of Curtis Pritchard is the most shocking of revelations, other drama included Anna Vakili cutting ties with Ovie Soko for old interest Jordan Hames, and Michael Griffiths getting tongue-tied when sitting by Joanna Chimonides and former couple partner Amber Gill.

Maura was at the heart of the action, though, asking Curtis to teach her how to dance as broken-hearted Amy Hart watched on, and teaming up with Lucie Donlan to inflict a brutal double dumping on Casa Amor boys George Rains and Marvin Brooks.

Amy has since quit the show and left the villa after splitting from the ballroom dancer.

Betting moves

Curtis and Maura have waltzed, or rather cha-cha'd, their way into contention for the £50,000 prize, with some bookmakers trimming them to as short as 7-1.

The pair had been available at 250-1 at the start of last week but have been shortening by the day and saw their most dramatic shift in price after Maura confessed to Curtis she "has feelings" for him.

But they will be hard-pressed to win the affection of viewers, with Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague still firm favourites at a best-priced 1-5. A leaked clip from Tuesday night's episode shows the boxer preparing to ask the social media influencer to be his girlfriend.

What might happen next

Monday's show concluded with viewers being given the chance to vote for their favourite couples, with the least popular at risk of being dumped from the island, and 33-1 shots Danny Williams and Jourdan Riane should be the most concerned.

The pair have had about as much air time as Molly's cuddly toy 'Ellie-Belly' and, despite being more compatible, neither have contributed the level of drama that the likes of Maura, Curtis, Michael, Anna and Lucy have been generating.
