Steve Palmer is refuelled and ready to go after a well-earned break and teams up with Bruce Millington for the latest episode of the Sweet Spot, the weekly golf betting show from the Racing Post.

Despite battling tonsillitis, Steve has studied hard and is in confident spirits ahead of this week's two tournaments, which is headlined by a star-studded cast for the CJ Cup in South Carolina.

Rory McIlroy is tournament favourite for that PGA Tour event at the Congaree Golf Club, and Steve thinks players who skipped last week's Zozo Championship in Japan could prosper.

That may be a negative for the chances of Collin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland, but the Racing Post's golf guru has found a standout candidate to take on the Northern Irishman.

Bruce and Steve also preview the Mallorca Open, where last week's Andalucia Masters champion Adrian Otaegui will be a popular choice as he seeks back-to-back DP World Tour victories in his homeland.

But Steve thinks an upset could be on the cards at the Son Muntaner Golf Club and has picked out a squad of five big-priced selections.

The team also look back at last week's three events and pinpoint a couple of players who are performing consistently well and may be worth keeping on side in the coming months.
