Racing Post Sport's golf guru Steve Palmer picks three golfers to watch out for on the DP World Tour in 2023.

Daniel Hillier

Last year Yannik Paul was put forward as a player to back every time he teed up and he delivered a maiden winner. This time Daniel Hillier is nominated as a youngster to support for a breakthrough.

The sweet-swinging 24-year-old New Zealander won on the Challenge Tour last season and has made the upgrade to the DP World Tour possessing bundles of promise. He is world number 273, and will surely rise from there if he can marry courage and belief to his technical class.

Tom McKibbin

Another Challenge Tour graduate who seems set to make the leap to the DP World Tour without any fuss is Tom McKibbin. The 20-year-old Northern Irishman has already shown he belongs in the higher grade by featuring on leaderboards in the early-season events in South Africa.

McKibbin, who cut his teeth at Holywood GC on the same holes that developed Rory McIlroy, is a powerful, stylish player, who appears to have a fantastic temperament, taking the inevitable highs and lows of golf in his stride.

David Ravetto

Second place in the DP World Tour Qualifying School was enough for David Ravetto to kickstart his career, and the Frenchman wasted no time in making his new credentials count. Ninth place in the Alfred Dunhill Championship in December was a great early cheque to bank.

At the end of August, the penny dropped for Ravetto, and he has been generally excellent since. Bursting with form and carrying an obviously positive mindset, the world number 596 is a bouncy 25-year-old rookie who could be dangerous in the months to come.
