Pablo Larrazabal to win 12.50pm threeball

Preview

Rasmus Hojgaard started the ISPS Handa Championship in Spain as the 18-1 favourite and he shortened to just 7-2 after covering his opening eight holes in five under par.

A flooded course meant a delay of more than three hours on Thursday morning - and David Law was the pick of the early starters with a 65. Hojgaard, one of the later starters, tied Law on five under par with a five-birdie burst on the front nine.

Second-round threeball punters are pointed towards Pablo Larrazabal, who appears to be relishing the opportunity to land a first DP World Tour title in his home country. Larrazabal, a six-time winner on the European circuit, has become a serious title contender at the Lakes Course this week after opening with a 67.

Larrazabal can be backed at 9-5 for the 12.50pm Friday threeball. With Nicolai Hojgaard struggling over short putts on his way to a 71 and Bernd Wiesberger lacking distance control in a humdrum 70, local man Larrazabal could boss the group again.
