Joel Stalter can apply pressure to his pacesetting compatriot

Joel Stalter to win Euram Bank Open

Story so far
The non-televised Euram Bank Open is not an event which has captured the imagination of the betting community, but those who got involved in backing the 5-1 favourite were on good terms with themselves until he took ten shots at a par-five in round three.
Joost Luiten was trading at odds-on after taking the lead through two rounds of the second leg of the European Tour's 'Austrian Swing' – an event which started on Wednesday and is due to finish on Saturday – but the Dutchman imploded on the seventh hole of round three.
A five-over-par seventh hole at Golf Club Adamstal saw Luiten surrender the lead in spectacular fashion and the six-times Tour champion ended the day in a share of 11th place, eight shots off the pace.
Robin Sciot-Siegrist took advantage of Luiten's collapse in ruthless style, carding nine birdies in a flawless Friday 61 which rocketed the Frenchman to the leaderboard summit. Sciot-Siegrist, an 80-1 chance ante-post, is odds-on to claim a maiden European Tour title. The 26-year-old won on the Challenge Tour in 2017.

Final-round preview
Robin Sciot-Siegrist was in awesome form in round three and he won impressively on the Challenge Tour in his first full season as a professional, but the Paris native will be well aware that the grand old game of golf rarely serves up two consecutive days as straightforward as the one he enjoyed on Friday.
Sciot-Siegrist destroyed Golf Club Adamstal and will have confidence coursing through his veins, but his sleeping on a three-shot lead with the prospect of a maiden European Tour title to come may be an unsettling period.
A second-round 77 saw Sciot-Siegrist miss the cut in the Austrian Open last week and his form could disappear as quickly as it came. If it does, compatriot Joel Stalter is likely to waiting close behind to take advantage of any buckling.
Richard Mansell, impressive on the EuroPro Tour last season, should not be discounted, but Stalter, a winner on the Challenge Tour in 2016 and 15th in the Austrian Open last Sunday, seems more dangerous.
Stalter is comfortable at Golf Club Adamstal, where he won the Austrian Amateur in 2011 and finished tenth in the Euram Bank Open on the Challenge Tour last year. The French have strong representation on the board and it could come down to which one holds their nerve over a tricky final three holes.
The final threeball of Sciot-Siegrist, Mansell and Christofer Blomstrand is scheduled to tee off at 10.02am UK and Ireland time.
