Scottie Scheffler won the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill on Sunday night, moving up to fifth in the world rankings and shortening further for the Masters, which is only a month away.

Scheffler carded a bogey-free, one-under-par back-nine at Bay Hill to hang tough in the difficult conditions, securing his second PGA Tour title, and the 25-year-old powerhouse is no bigger than 28-1 to make the forthcoming Masters his first Major victory.

Scheffler will be making his third start at Augusta, having finished 19th and 18th in his two previous visits, and plenty of punters will feel he still represents value at the revised odds. Confidence is coursing through the Texan's veins.

First up for Scheffler and the rest of the elite, though, is the Players Championship, which starts at the famous TPC Sawgrass on Thursday. The jewel in the crown of the Florida Swing - and nicknamed 'Fifth Major' - the Players always attracts a stellar line-up.

World number one Jon Rahm, who tied for 17th place at Bay Hill and was awful on the greens, goes to post again at Sawgrass. Viktor Hovland, up to world number three after sharing second place at Bay Hill, has also made the short trip from Orlando to Ponte Vedra Beach for the Players.

The DP World Tour stays in Africa after Ashun Wu's 55-1 Kenya Open success. The inaugural MyGolfLife Open in South Africa features Bernd Wiesberger, Richard Bland and Dean Burmester.

Ryan Brehm was the 80-1 winner of the Puerto Rico Open on Sunday night. Brandon Wu, a Racing Post Sport 66-1 each-way recommendation, finished tied for third place.
