Russell Henley was the 55-1 winner of the World Wide Technology Championship on Sunday - the regular nearly-man cruising to a four-shot victory at El Camaleon in Mexico.

Henley, who was 5-4 carrying a three-shot lead into the weekend and 2-11 starting Sunday with a six-shot advantage, gave his backers a scare when carding six at the fifth hole. The Georgian responded, though, with three consecutive birdies from the sixth hole to take regain full control.

Henley was birdie-free in a one-over-par back-nine, but he could afford to be, with none of the chasing pack applying any pressure. Brian Harman finished alone in second place.

Scottie Scheffler finished with a flourish - a final-round 62 to tie for third spot - but it was not quite enough to regain top spot in the world rankings from Rory McIlroy.

Defending champion, Viktor Hovland, who was seeking three consecutive El Camaleon victories, tied for tenth place, while Collin Morikawa was a shot further back in 15th.

This week the DP World Tour returns with the Nedbank Challenge from South Africa. Tommy Fleetwood, Ryan Fox, Jordan Smith and Robert MacIntyre are in attendance, while LIV Golf rebels like Sam Horsfield and Richard Bland are also in the Gary Player Country Club field.

The PGA Tour moves to Texas for the Houston Open. Scheffler will be looking to maintain his form in his adopted home state. Sam Burns and Hideki Matsuyama are also teeing up at Memorial Park Golf Course.
