Tyrrell Hatton was the 50-1 winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Englishman fending off Marc Leishman and Sungjae Im to triumph at Bay Hill, Florida.

Hatton took a two-shot lead into the final round and a 74 was enough for victory on a day when all the field struggled in tough conditions. A double-bogey at the 11th threatened to derail his hopes of a maiden PGA Tour title, but he closed with seven pars to get the job done.

Rory McIroy started Sunday tied for second place and favourite, but a double-bogey at the sixth hole was followed by another at the ninth and the Northern Irishman suffered a four-over-par 76 to finish in a share of fifth place.

Hatton is a best-price 45-1 to follow up his Bay Hill success with Players Championship glory. The tournament known to many as the 'Fifth Major' starts on Thursday, with defending champion McIlroy the 7-1 market leader.

Tiger Woods is still suffering from a bad back and will not be teeing up at Sawgrass, but every other member of the world's top 25 is in attendance.

The Kenya Open has been postponed due to the coronavirus, so the Players Championship is the only event for punters to focus on this week.
