Chez Reavie's four-shot success at the Travelers Championship was built on a solid foundation after his opening round of 65 and he can make another fast start at the Rocket Mortgage Classic.

Reavie was buzzing at River Highlands after finishing third at the US Open the previous week and with the players taking on a new course in Detroit, he can fly out of the traps again.

His 75 at the WGC-Mexico Championship was the only occasion this season that he has failed to shoot lower than 72 in the first round and his first-round scoring average of 69.05 is bettered only by Matt Kuchar and Justin Thomas.

The tight course should suit him as his lack of distance off the tee should not prove a huge handicap.

His average driving distance is just 286.5 yards, but no player on the PGA Tour is more accurate and his standing of 37th in the greens-in-regulation rankings is perfectly respectable.

Winning back-to-back is a big ask but it would be no surprise if he made a fast start and he looks a good each-way bet to be first-round leader with Betfair paying seven places.

Reavie plays alongside Dustin Johnson and Patrick Reed in a 6.05pm BST threeball and while DJ has missed just one cut in his last 46 tournaments, Reed has been struggling lately.

The 2018 Masters champion has not made the top 20 in his last ten tournaments and this week's narrow fairways are not good news for a player ranked 147th in driving accuracy and 150th in greens in regulation.

Rising star Aaron Wise, who has performed well in the Majors this season without challenging at the top of the leaderboard and is ranked 29th in GIR, may finish the stronger and is evens to get the better of the confident Texan over 72 holes.

Kevin Tway should be boosted by his fifth place at the Travelers, which was his first top-ten finish since he won the Safeway Open in October.

He can get the better of Jason Kokrak, who will have to recover from missing the cut by a whopping ten shots at River Highlands.
