It is little surprise to see Hideki Matsuyama hovering around even-money to be the top Japanese performer at this week's Zozo Championship, but with a quarter the odds available for the first three places, there are each-way opportunities to be had with Hills in that market.

Without the defending champion it would be a competitive heat with many young pretenders looking to make their mark, such as Kazuki Higa, who has moved into the world's top 100 after three wins on the Japan Golf Tour this year.

However, it is worth chancing that the experienced Satoshi Kodaira, once ranked 27th in the world, can come through after rediscovering his form at home after a difficult year in the USA on both the PGA and Korn Ferry Tours.

A 12th spot at the Sony Open in January was his best performance but he has claimed finishes of 11th, fifth and tenth in his last three Japanese events so his confidence should be boosted.

Another player full of beans is Scott Stallings, who has been playing some excellent tee-to-green golf in the last few months.

He could be suited to the tight nature of Accordia, which is a typical Japanese course, and after seven top-20 finishes in his last 11 events, including 13th last time out at the Sanderson Farms Championship, he looks an attractive price to repeat the trick.
