Story so far
It has been a fascinating week of Match Play action in Austin, with plenty of upsets and some incredible performances.
Saturday was no different as Abraham Ancer produced one of the greatest performances of the tournament's history by beating Open champion Collin Morikawa 7&6. Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler gained revenge on Billy Horschel for his defeat in last year's final defeat, a birdie on the 16th helping him to a one-hole victory.
However, Ancer couldn't follow it up in the afternoon, losing by two holes to arguably the form man in Texas, Corey Conners, who is 5-0 for the week and will now face 2019 champion Kevin Kisner in Sunday's semi-final.
The other last-four tie sees 2017 winner Dustin Johnson take on Scheffler, the former having beaten Brooks Koepka by two in the quarter-finals, while the latter ended Seamus Power's impressive run with a 3&2 success.
Final-round preview
The closing day of the Match Play used to revolve around a gruelling 36-hole final but the current format sees the semi-finals, third-place playoff and final played on the same day, each over 18 holes.
Johnson and Scheffler are first out at 3.05pm, before Conners and Kisner tee off at 3.20pm UK time.
Scheffler finally broke his PGA Tour duck with February's win in Phoenix and backed it up earlier this month with a second career victory at Bay Hill.
The 25-year-old clearly enjoys this format. As well as reaching last year's final, he took two-and-a-half points from a possible three on his Ryder Cup debut last September. However, Johnson came from behind to beat Richard Bland and Koepka on Saturday and will take some stopping.
Meanwhile, Kisner, who was also the 2018 runner-up at Austin CC, was the comeback king on Saturday, beating Adam Scott by one hole despite being three down on the 14th and carried that impetus into his 4&3 win over Will Zalatoris.
Can he back it up after such a rollercoaster day four by beating the improving Conners? The 2019 Valero Texas Open champion is the first Canadian to make the semi-finals of this event and his record this week hints at something special.
However, Kisner's recent fourth at Sawgrass shows he is playing well and his ability to grind down opponents may just see him go all the way.
