Story so far

Taylor Pendrith has extended his lead to three shots in the Bermuda Championship with a third-round 65, following on from Friday's 61 on a leaderboard with few big names.

Pendrith has used his power to get to the summit on the shortest course on the PGA Tour but the final round could be tricky with inclement weather forecast. That means players will be going off both tees from 10.45am-12.55pm UK time.

Danny Lee is the only one in the top five to have won previously on the PGA Tour and even that was six years ago, while Lucas Herbert, who is four shots off the lead, is a two-time winner on the European Tour.

Final-round preview

A fascinating final round is in store for punters as there is so much to factor in, mainly can Pendrith hold his nerve to secure a first PGA Tour title on only his fourth start of his rookie season?

Newly-wed Canadian Pendrith, who is so close to classy compatriot Corry Connors they were best men at the wedding of each other, has used his power in the last two rounds to surge clear of the field by three shots.

However, he suffered from seconditus on the Korn Ferry Tour in 2020-21 with four second-place finishes and there is a lot at stake. Victory would secure a two-year exemption and a spot in the Masters.

Pendrith admitted he struggled on day one when the wind went up to 40mph and it's set to be a tough day again, even if it does not blow quite so much.

At odds-on it is easy enough to look elsewhere for a bet at this stage and it's Lee at 14-under par, three behind Pendrith, and Herbert one further back, who lead the pursuit.

Herbert is a proven player in wind and his win in the Dubai Desert Classic also came from off the pace. He triumphed at the Irish Open and has performed well in Scotland, pieces of form which suggest he could enjoy this Sunday session.

At 6-1 and with two each-way places on offer, Herbert looks the one to be on.
