Preview
Henrik Stenson has been stripped of the Ryder Cup captaincy with the Swede set to sign up to the LIV Tour and Hills make Luke Donald 4-7 favourite to replace him.
Paul Lawrie is 7-2 and Padraig Harrington can be backed at 10-1 with Miguel Angel Jimenez available at 14-1.
There's very little European interest at this week's 3M Open, where Jason Day, once upon a time the best golfer in the world, could see his misery continue.
The former US PGA champion had received some encouragement from the third place he posted at the Farmers Insurance Open in February, but he has been unable to build on that, slipping to 143rd in the rankings.
He looks vulnerable in a tournament match-bet with Nick Hardy, having missed the cut by seven shots in his last outing at the Travelers Championship at the end of June, and a 66th spot in his only appearance at TPC Twin Cities does not encourage confidence.
Hardy makes his debut at the Minnesota venue but knows he can compete at this level after building on a decent 14th at the US Open.
While Day was toiling at the Travelers, Hardy finished eighth and would have been even higher up the leaderboard had he not hit a closing 70.
Hardy is on the cusp of qualifying for the FedEx Cup playoffs and can build on the 13th place he posted in his last tournament, the Barracuda Championship.
Tony Finau's form has been solid - he was 28th at the Open last week without ever looking like challenging - but he may have been afforded too much respect in a match against rising star Davis Riley.
Riley is definitely worth chancing on his course debut, even though Finau was third in the Minnesota tournament two years ago.
The two-time Korn Ferry Tour winner has had three weeks off, but he has had an excellent few months, losing a playoff to Sam Burns in March's Valspar Championship and posting five top-15 finishes since.
It is difficult to ignore the 6-5 on offer about the 25-year-old from Mississippi.
One player going through a miserable time is Tom Hoge, who won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am in the spring but has seen his form collapse over the last few weeks.
He has missed the cut in his last six tournaments, including the Scottish Open and the Open, and failed to make the Twin Cities weekend by seven shots last term.
Hoge could once again be heading home for the weekend.
