Golf betting news for the US PGA Championship, US Open and Open Championship following Scottie Scheffler's victory in the 2022 Masters.

Scottie Scheffler is 12-1 to win next month's US PGA Championship after his dream 2022 campaign continued with victory at The Masters on Sunday.

The 25-year-old from Texas overcame some final-green wobbles to claim a three-shot win at Augusta National and reward followers of Racing Post Sport's golf guru Steve Palmer, who recommended Scheffler at 16-1 before the start of the tournament.

Rory McIlroy's wait to complete the career grand slam of Majors will go on for another year after he finished second, but the man from Northern Ireland will take great heart from his closing 64, which included an outrageous holeout from a bunker on the 18th.

Australia's Cameron Smith and Ireland's Shane Lowry finished tied for third.

Coral go 400-1 that Scheffler wins all four of golf's big prizes this year, and he has won four tournaments in seven weeks, breaking his duck at the Phoenix Open before successive victories at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the World Match Play, all of which he was tipped for by the Racing Post Sport golf team.

The world number one will be making his debut at St Andrews when he tees up in the 150th Open Championship in July, but he was eighth on his first appearance in the British Major last year when he finished eight shots behind Collin Morikawa at Royal St George's.

He is 14-1 to win at the home of golf and will fancy his chances at the PGA, which will be held at Southern Hills. Scheffler has described the Oklahoma venue as his favourite course after playing college golf there while at the University of Texas.

He has also performed well at Brookline in Massachusetts, which will host the US Open, when he featured in the 2013 US Amateur Championship which was won by Matthew Fitzpatrick.

Scheffler was eighth at last year's PGA and seventh at the US Open, meaning he has finished in the top 20 in each of his last seven Majors.

McIlroy is 12-1 to win at St Andrews after his encouraging final round at Augusta while Jon Rahm, who Scheffler deposed as world number one before his Masters exploits, is the same price with BoyleSports.

Four-time Major winner McIlroy is 10-1 to go one better at Augusta next year and Scheffler is the same price to be the first player since Tiger Woods in 2002 to retain the Green Jacket.

Woods carded a closing 78 after battling his way through four rounds for the first time since a car crash 15 months ago, but the 15-time Major winner has committed to play at St Andrews, where he lifted the Claret Jug in 2000 and 2005.

He is 40-1 to win The Open for the fourth time.
