The final regulation PGA Tour event of the year went the way of Adam Svensson, a 150-1 chance who won the RSM Classic in Georgia by two shots on Sunday.

Svensson started the tournament with a three-over-par 73 on the Seaside Course, leaving himself a mountain to climb just to make the cut, but rounds of 64, 62 and 64 followed as the Canadian surged through the field.

Sahith Theegala, Brian Harman and Callum Tarren tied for second place, while Seamus Power was among a five-man group who shared fifth spot. Power maintained his lead in the FedEx Cup standings.

Jon Rahm was the 5-1 winner of the DP World Tour Championship earlier in the day, while Rory McIlroy won the DP World Tour rankings title. Rahm is back in action in next week's Hero World Challenge, while McIlroy will not be seen until 'The Match' on December 10 - an exhibition pitting McIlroy and Tiger Woods against Justin Thomas and Jordan Spieth.

This week there are two DP World Tour events to start the new season - the Australian PGA Championship and the Joburg Open. Cameron Smith and Adam Scott headline the Aussie PGA at Royal Queensland, while Christiaan Bezuidenhout is the star name at Houghton GC, Johannesburg, South Africa.
