A round-up of this week's golf action including the Wyndham Championship, Cazoo Open and Women's Open

Joohyung Kim became the second-youngest winner on the PGA Tour since the Second World War when he posted a five-shot victory at the Wyndham Championship, earning the 20-year-old South Korean a viable shot at the FedEx Cup.

Kim shot a nine-under-par 61 - he was out in just 27 - on a busy final day in Carolina after storms meant the third round had to be completed on Sunday.

He is the first player to be born after 2000 to win on the Tour and his success moved him to 34th in the FedEx Cup standings.

The top 125 will do battle at TPC Southwind in the FedEx St Jude Championship this week, hoping to earn a top-70 spot that will see them qualify for the BMW Championship.

Then, the top 30 will get the chance to shoot it out for the Tour Championship and a whopping winner's cheque of $18m.

Organisers will be waiting to see the result of a court judgement on Tuesday as to whether Talor Gooch, Hudson Swafford and Matt Jones, who have joined the controversial LIV Tour, will be allowed to play.

But Kim will also be keen to be involved in the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow as part of Trevor Immelman's team, who are 4-1 with Coral and Ladbrokes to beat the USA, who are a general 3-10 for glory.

South Africa's Ashleigh Bahai won the final women's Major of the season when she beat South Korea's In-Gee Chun at the fourth extra hole of a Muirfield playoff.

Bahai had gone into the final round with a five-shot lead and it was only the second time in 42 Majors that the 33-year-old has claimed a top-ten finish.

There was joy for followers of RP Sport's Steve Palmer at the Cazoo Open at Celtic Manor, where Callum Shinkwin eased to a four-shot success to reward punters who backed the Hertfordshire golfer at 20-1.

It was his second DP World Tour victory following success at the Cyprus Open in 2020. This week the tour moves to Northern Ireland for the ISPS Handa World Invitational at Galgorm Castle.
