Masters punters have been nibbling at Tommy Fleetwood despite the Englishman spurning a golden chance of victory in the Honda Classic on Sunday.

Fleetwood, who led going into the final round of the Honda, needed a birdie at the par-five 18th hole to force a playoff with Sungjae Im. Fleetwood faded his five-wood second shot too far, though, and found water to the right of the flagstick, carding a bogey to finish third, crushing those who had backed him at 12-1 for PGA National glory.

Fleetwood has become a general 28-1 for the Masters, with only six names ahead of him in the betting for the first Major of the season. World number one Rory McIlroy tops the list. Both men are in action this week in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.

Im, the 33-1 Honda champion, Brooks Koepka, Rickie Fowler, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele and Justin Rose are also at Bay Hill.

The European Tour moves from Oman to Qatar for the Qatar Masters, with a new course being used. Education City Golf Club makes its European Tour debut. Dual Major champion Martin Kaymer headlines the Qatar Masters line-up.
