Cyprus champion Robert MacIntyre returns to action in Alfred Dunhill

Robert Streb beat Kevin Kisner in a playoff for the RSM Classic on Sunday, the 300-1 outsider making birdie at the second extra hole to win the tournament for a second time.

The playoff was between two former RSM champions - Streb having claimed his maiden PGA Tour title in the event in 2014 and Kisner the victor the following year - and it was the less decorated of the two 30-somethings who got the job done on Sunday.

The success of Streb followed the 40-1 triumph of JB Hansen in the Joburg Open - the first of three European Tour events being staged in South Africa. This week sees the Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek, where Hansen, Eddie Pepperell, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, George Coetzee and Robert MacIntyre, who won his maiden European Tour title in Cyprus last time out, are among the runners. The South African Open follows next week at the Gary Player Country Club, Sun City.

The next PGA Tour action is the Mayakoba Classic, starting a week on Thursday. A week of post-Masters betting has seen Dustin Johnson establish himself as clear favourite for the April edition. Johnson, as short as 6-1 with one firm, is a stand-out 8-1 with Betfair and Paddy Power, with Rory McIlroy, 10-1, second in the market.
