Bet365 have stopped taking bets on the 2022 Majors fourfold recommended by Racing Post Sport at the end of last year.

The accumulator, which comprised Jon Rahm for the Masters (10-1), Viktor Hovland for the US PGA Championship (22-1), Xander Schauffele for the US Open (18-1) and Rory McIlroy for the Open (14-1) has proved so popular that bet365 are not prepared to increase their liability any further.

Similar scenarios have happened with horse racing accumulators in the past, with bookmakers shutting up shop holding heavy liabilities on Frankie Dettori rides at Royal Ascot a high-profile example.

Bet365 spokesman Steve Freeth said: "As a responsible bookmaker, bet365 will, as a matter of company policy, limit certain multiple bets where liabilities on these selections have reached an extraordinary level, having already accommodated a large number of customers."

The Majors accumulator is still available with other firms. The odds were 72,104-1 with bet365 when recommended on December 30 last year. Coral are offering 57,797-1, with Rahm at 8-1, Hovland at 25-1, Schauffele at 18-1 and McIlroy at 12-1.

Daniel Berger blew a five-shot final-round lead in the Honda Classic on Sunday night as pre-tournament 140-1 chance Sepp Straka took the trophy.

Berger was a best-price 1-4 going into the final round, but he covered his opening six holes in four over par. A holed bunker shot at the seventh got the Floridan back on track in his home state, but he was one over par to the clubhouse from there, ending up in fourth place.

Shane Lowry appeared the likely champion for a long way, taking the lead through six holes and going bogey-free on Sunday, but an unfortunate blast of heavy rain made his drive at the par-five closing hole more difficult and the Irishman could manage only a par.

While Lowry parred his final seven holes, Straka was three under for the same stretch - the Austrian making birdie at the 18th to win by a shot. Straka had been 22-1 prior to round four.

Punters have three tournaments to consider this week. The DP World Tour returns with the Kenya Open, while there are two PGA Tour events - the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Puerto Rico Open.
