The USA are a best-price 4-5 to win the Ryder Cup next year in the wake of their latest Presidents Cup success.

The States, led by Tiger Woods, fought back from 10-8 behind to triumph 16-14 at Royal Melbourne and claim the Presidents Cup for an eighth consecutive time. The Americans' Ryder Cup record, though, is much worse, with Europe winning seven of the last nine editions.

Europe can be backed at 6-4 to beat the States at Whistling Straits, Wisconsin, at the end of September. The 2021 Presidents Cup takes place at Quail Hollow, North Carolina, and the home side will almost certainly be emphatic favourites to defeat the Internationals again.

Kevin Tway and Rory Sabbatini won the QBE Shootout on Sunday night, with J.T. Poston and Jason Kokrak finishing runner-up.

The final golf tournament of the year starts in Queensland on Wednesday night – the Australian PGA Championship. The European Tour gathering at the Royal Pines Resort is headlined by Adam Scott and Cameron Smith, two members of the Internationals team last week. The Aussie duo were 6-1 joint-favourites in bet365's opening show.
