Ryan Searle v Adam Gawlas

There was plenty of promise in Adam Gawlas's 3-2 win over former BDO champion Richie Burnett in round one and the Czech chucker can win at least a set against Ryan Searle. Heavy Metal has won just four matches across his last eight Players Championship events and he looks vulnerable.

James Wade v Jim Williams

Jim Williams recorded a three-dart average of 91 and posted a 42 per cent success rate on the doubles in his first-round clash with Sebastian Bialecki. The Welshman is a former BDO finalist and he can cause problems for James Wade.

Mensur Suljovic v Mike de Decker

A 3-1 first-round victory over Jeff Smith flattered Mike De Decker and a clash with Mensur Suljovic represents a stiffer challenge. The Gentle hasn't been at his peak in recent months, but there have been signs that a return to form is just around the corner.

Vincent van der Voort v Cameron Menzies

Cameron Menzies is much better than he showed against Diogo Portela in his opener and he looks set to build on that effort. The Scot's Pro Tour numbers are far better than Vincent van der Voort's this season and the Dutchman could be sent packing.
