One of the Premier League's worst-kept secrets of the weekend was finally made public when West Ham sacked manager Slaven Bilic and quickly lined up David Moyes to replace him.

West Ham, 18th in the Premier League after collecting nine points from their opening 11 matches, are 9-4 to be relegated following Moyes's probable appointment at the London Stadium.

The Hammers can be backed at 4-11 with Sky Bet to remain in the Premier League and 11-2 with Betfair and Paddy Power to storm to a top-ten finish following their dreadful start to the campaign.

Culling Bilic will please most West Ham fans, although the decision to go with Moyes - last seen finishing bottom of the Premier League with Sunderland - was hardly met with universal praise and the Scot faces a tough task to convince the east London faithful he deserves a contract beyond the end of this season.

Bet365 go 5-4 that Moyes leads West Ham to at least 40 points and his first match will see the Hammers head to Watford before a home date with Leicester and an away trip to Everton to see out November.

It's 13-10 with bet365 that West Ham fail to win a league game this month and Moyes could do with making a quick start as the Irons face a horrendous December schedule which includes matches against Manchester City (away), Chelsea (home) and Arsenal (home) as well as a trip to Wembley to tackle Tottenham on New Year's Eve.
