West Brom v Sheffield United: Championship betting preview, tip & TV details
Baggies and Blades to put on Hawthorns humdinger
TV: Sky Sports Football & Main Event 5.30pm Saturday
This could well be a Premier League fixture next season and promotion-chasing West Brom and Sheffield United will be keen to exhibit their goalscoring prowess in a scintillating shootout at the Hawthorns.
The sides look difficult to separate and both are well-versed in producing big performances when it matters.
West Brom have won four of their seven matches with top-six opposition in the Sky Bet Championship, while the Blades have beaten Middlesbrough and taken points off Norwich and Aston Villa in their recent run of matches.
The reverse fixture would arguably better suit both outfits. The Baggies have won more games away (ten) than at home (seven), while Sheffield United boast the best home record in the league.
While the result is a tough one to pin down, goals look like an inevitability.
In England's top four tiers only Manchester City (74) have scored more league goals than West Brom (67), who also boast a divisional-high 15 different goalscorers.
Chris Wilder also has a wealth of attacking options at his disposal, with Billy Sharp, the club's top scorer with 22 league strikes, kept on his toes by improving performances from David McGoldrick and January addition Gary Madine, who bagged a brace last time out.
For all of their might in front of goal, both sides have shown vulnerability at the back.
West Brom have shipped 42 league goals and United have kept only one clean sheet in seven games against the top six.
