Team news

West Brom
West Ham loanee Grady Diangana could return to the starting 11. Kieran Gibbs, Nathan Ferguson and Jonathan Leko remain sidelined.

Fulham
Aleksandar Mitrovic returned from a three-match ban against Cardiff on Friday. Tom Cairney is likely to miss out again but Denis Odoi is pushing for a recall at right-back.

Match preview

Automatic promotion from the Sky Bet Championship is still in West Brom's hands but the chasing pack are keeping up the pressure on Slaven Bilic's side.

Brentford's seven-game winning streak has put them just three points behind West Brom while Fulham, who visit The Hawthorns on Tuesday, are also in the mix after four straight wins.

The Cottagers have responded well to defeats against Brentford and leaders Leeds, beating QPR, Birmingham and Nottingham Forest despite the suspension of top scorer Aleksandar Mitrovic.

The Serbian striker returned for Friday's 2-0 home win against Cardiff, opening the scoring from the penalty spot, but Fulham may well come up short against West Brom.

The Baggies have suffered only six league defeats in 43 games this season, comfortably the fewest in the Championship, but that statistic is not due to a cautious approach.

Only Brentford have scored more goals than West Brom's tally of 74 and Bilic's side swatted aside Sheffield Wednesday 3-0, Hull 4-2 and in-form Derby 2-0 before Saturday's 1-1 draw at Blackburn.

Striker Charlie Austin receives excellent service from free-scoring wingers Matheus Pereira, Grady Diangana and Kamil Grosicki and the Baggies won the shot count 18-7 in the draw at Ewood Park last time out.

With more ruthless finishing they should be able to take maximum points against a Fulham side who have taken just four points from five games against teams above them in the table.

Scott Parker's men were outclassed in a 3-0 defeat at Leeds, where Mitrovic should have been sent off for an elbow in the first three minutes.

Fulham kept up the pressure on the top three while the striker served a retrospective three-match ban but the trip to West Brom could mark the end of their automatic-promotion dream.

Key stat

West Brom have lost just six matches this season – three fewer than any other team in the Sky Bet Championship.
