Free-scoring Union Berlin are averaging 2.33 goals per game after their opening six matches in Germany’s second tier and they may have too much firepower for St Pauli in the German capital tonight.

Last season’s sixth place was Union’s joint-best performance since German reunification (they had previously competed in the East German leagues).

American striker Bobby Wood was their star performer, scoring 17 league goals, and his summer departure to Hamburg left them with a massive void to fill in attack.
