Trabzonspor triumph expected at struggling Osmanlispor

Trabzonspor edged a 4-3 thriller in the reverse fixture of this Turkish Super Lig encounter and the Black Sea Storm should push Osmanlispor closer to the drop with a victory in this game.

The visitors are fresh from smashing Kayserispor 4-0, a match in which Burak Yilmaz, the league’s second-top scorer with 22 goals, bagged a brace.

Osmanlispor have drawn blanks in each of their last two matches, losing 2-0 to Fenerbahce most recently.

The incentive to win is certainly there for Osmanlispor, who are firmly locked in a relegation battle, with just six games remaining.

Hints of an unlikely survival push for the hosts surfaced last month, with two wins and a goalless draw against Konyaspor, but a run-in featuring games against Istanbul Basaksehir and Besiktas renders a revival unlikely.

As well as Yilmaz, Trabzonspor have a host of goalscoring midfielders in their ranks, not least the promising 21-year-old Yusuf Yazici and veteran Juraj Kucka. They have found the net in each of their last four matches.

It is unlikely the hosts will manage to hold a Trabzonspor outfit who have performed better defensively away from home than at the Medical Park Arena this term.
