10 Richairo Zivkovic

Changchun Yatai to Sheffield United, loan

Only a couple of years ago Richairo Zivkovic was one of Europe's most highly sought-after youngsters. He fell out of favour at Ajax but 16 goals in 26 matches in China show he has not lost his devastating instinct in front of goal.

He is quick, likes to drift out wide and, as a player who likes to run on to the ball, he can be used as competition for Lys Mousset.

9 Ondrej Duda

Hertha Berlin to Norwich City, loan

Ondrej Duda managed an impressive 11 goals and six assists from midfield in the Bundesliga last season before falling down the pecking order under Hertha's new manager.

He is an excellent short-term solution to the lack of creativity behind Teemu Pukki at Norwich and has looked lively in his early appearances.

8 Josh Brownhill

Bristol City to Burnley, £8 million

Sean Dyche's Burnley have always been about the collective effort rather than individuals and that is why Josh Brownhill should be an excellent fit at Turf Moor.

A former skipper of the Robins, the midfielder has shown he can dictate the tempo of matches, operate in both boxes and even pop up with a goal - he has scored five times in the Sky Bet Championship this season.

7 Takumi Minamino

Salzburg to Liverpool, £7.3 million

Transfer windows are more about squad depth than first-team improvements for Liverpool, who have signed a versatile forward in Takumi Minamino.

The former Salzburg man scored nine goals in all competitions for the Austrian club this season, can boast a tremendous work ethic and looks able to play anywhere in midfield or the front three for the Reds.

6 Dani Olmo

Dinamo Zagreb to Leipzig, £18 million

A product of Barcelona's La Masia youth academy, Dani Olmo has been dazzling for Dinamo Zagreb since 2015 but caught the eyes of most in the Champions League this season.

He can learn a lot at Leipzig from the likes of Marcel Sabitzer, who also plays in a number ten role or out wide, and the Bundesliga clubs have one of the most exciting players in world football in this creative 21-year-old.

5 Steven Bergwijn

PSV Eindhoven to Tottenham Hotspur, £25 million

Tottenham's wide options were starting to look a little stale and the arrival of 22-year-old Dutch dynamo Steven Bergwijn should get the best out of their attacking contingent.

A likely replacement for Inter-bound Christian Eriksen, Bergwijn can play on both flanks and is a speedy dribbler. He has plenty to learn but has won three Eredivisie titles. Do not be surprised to see his price tag escalate rapidly in the years to come.

4 Jarrod Bowen

Hull City to West Ham, £22.5 million

West Ham pipped Crystal Palace to the signing of one of the Sky Bet Championship's most in-demand players in Jarrod Bowen, who has already scored 16 league goals this season.

Predominantly a wide player, Bowen has long shown he could be of Premier League pedigree and will provide crucial support for struggling Sebastien Haller up front as West Ham battle relegation.

3 Sander Berge

Genk to Sheffield United, £22 million

Anfield? Old Trafford? Stamford Bridge? No, starlet Sander Berge will be plying his trade at Bramall Lane and could scarcely be happier.

To sign a 21-year-old wanted by some of Europe's finest clubs shows how far Sheffield United have come and Berge has the quality to take the club to the next level.

An industrious holding midfielder with excellent vision, Berge can boast Champions League experience and 20 international caps. His towering physique and competence on the ball often means he can run games single-handedly and he should fit in perfectly in the Premier League.

2 Bruno Fernandes

Sporting Lisbon to Manchester United, £46.5 million

It took a long time but Manchester United finally landed their attacking midfielder target Bruno Fernandes.

The Red Devils have cultivated a reputation for failing to improve players coming to Old Trafford but there is plenty of promise surrounding the Portuguese international, who has been likened to and given the same shirt number as Paul Scholes.

He was Sporting's top scorer in all competitions last term with 32 goals and led the way again this term with 15 before departing. A natural creator with a fiery temperament, he could be something special.

1 Erling Haaland

Salzburg to Borussia Dortmund, £18 million

Borussia Dortmund landing Erling Haaland for only £18 million is one of the most bewildering transfers in modern football. The 19-year-old already ranks among the best strikers in Europe.

Whether he is scoring a triple hat-trick in the Under-20 World Cup for Norway or marking his Borussia Dortmund debut with three goals in 23 minutes, Haaland cannot keep out of the headlines.

He has scored goals for fun at Molde and Salzburg and is doing the same at Borussia Dortmund. His marauding runs, strength on the ball, clinical finishing and contagious smile render him a joy to watch.
