England could not have started their campaign in better style with a 6-0 demolition of neighbours Scotland in their opening fixture on Wednesday.

Mark Sampson's side played lovely football at times and we can expect them to continue to raise their level when they face a much stronger side, Spain, who beat their close rivals Portugal 2-0 in their opening fixture.

Jodie Taylor was one of a number of individuals to shine against Scotland, her hat-trick ensured that England won their opening game in convincing style. Her rich goal-scoring form helped the Lionesses put in the most impressive performance in Holland, so the 5-1 that she opens the scoring against Spain is worth taking.

Expect Taylor to be in the thick of the action once again and help send England to a second win in the group stages.

Scotland's second fixture against Portugal will certainly make for an intriguing match as both are competing in major tournaments for the first time. Both sides are looking to bounce back from defeat and secure their first points of the tournament.

It's hard to split the two but they look evenly matched and a draw at half-time and full-time looks the most likely result.
