Sweden look too strong for eliminated Italy

Sweden can look to add another victory to their name in the group stages of the finals after comfortably beating Russia 2-0 in their last game. The Swedes, who also held Germany to a goalless draw in their opening fixture, have looked particularly strong in attack and in defence.

They sit top of their group and with Lotta Schelin finding the net against Russia, expect another strong performance to come from a Swedish side against Italy, who have already been eliminated after two defeats.

While they have yet to spark at this year's tournament, somehow the Germans have found a way to win as they always seem to do. It looked as if Italy were going to hold the seven-time European champions to a draw but a 67th-minute penalty from Babett Peter was enough for Germany to claim victory.

Russia caused an upset when they beat Italy but against a higher quality side in Sweden they struggled to cause any real damage. It may be that the Germans are saving their best performance for later and they look set to grind out the result they need, although there's little value in the short odds.
