Newcastle 1-2 West Ham

West Ham have raced into 3-0 leads in their last three Premier League matches, beating Wolves and Leicester 3-2 and being pegged back in a 3-3 draw with Arsenal.

They look a cut above Newcastle but the Magpies are scrapping hard at the bottom and can land a blow on the visiting defence.

Brentford 2-1 Millwall

Brentford hammered Preston 5-0 last weekend but they had drawn their previous four Championship matches and may have to work hard for a win over Millwall.

The Lions have scored in each of their last 12 away games in all competitions and three of their six league defeats on the road have been by a 2-1 margin.

Luton 0-1 Watford

Joao Pedro's goal proved decisive when Watford beat Luton at Vicarage Road in September and another narrow win for the Hornets is on the cards in the reverse fixture.

They have won ten of their last 12 in the Championship while Luton have failed to score in 14 of their 20 games against top-half teams.

Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Bristol City

Wednesday are an awkward proposition for correct-score punters, having followed up their 5-0 win over Cardiff with 4-1 and 2-0 defeats to QPR and Swansea.

The Owls' home fixtures average just 1.8 goals per game so it may be worth backing a stalemate against Bristol City, who failed to score in four of their last five including 0-0 draws with Blackburn and Nottingham Forest.

Middlesbrough 1-1 QPR

Middlesbrough look vulnerable favourites having taken just one point from their last four matches, a 1-1 home draw with highflying Watford.

That scoreline appeals again when Boro host a QPR side who have recorded five 1-1 draws in 20 away matches this season.

Nottingham Forest 1-0 Huddersfield

Forest beat QPR 3-1 in their last home game but their previous three wins were all by a 1-0 margin and they drew 0-0 at struggling Bristol City last weekend.

A low-scoring home win looks the best option when the Tricky Trees host a Huddersfield side who have scored just five times in their last ten league games.
