Freiburg v Eintracht Frankfurt

Freiburg lost their first Bundesliga assignment of the season just before the international break when they were beaten 2-1 by Bayern Munich but they remain dangerous opponents and can get back to winning ways against Frankfurt.

The Black Forest outfit can still nonetheless boast the division's tightest defence having shipped only nine times this term with Mark Flekken having excelled between the sticks.

And they can record a seventh Bundesliga win of 2021-22 at home to Frankfurt, who have taken maximum points on only two occasions and are hovering above the drop zone.

Lyon v Marseille

Bookmakers anticipate a close match between Ligue 1 giants Lyon and Marseille this weekend but punters are advised to side with the visitors in the draw no bet market at the Groupama Stadium.

Marseille may have lacked a little ruthlessness of late but they are still on a seven-match unbeaten run in all competitions, having held PSG, Nice and Lazio to draws as part of that run.

Leo Dubois, Tinotenda Kadewere and Moussa Dembele are among those unavailable for Lyon, who lost 4-1 to Rennes before the break and could again struggle here.

Real Sociedad v Valencia

With eight wins from 13 matches, Real Sociedad are the team to beat in La Liga this season and they can make light work of Valencia this weekend.

The Basque pacesetters rolled over a fairy solid Osasuna team before the international break and are on a remarkable 16-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

Valencia, meanwhile, beat rivals Villarreal and drew with Atletico Madrid in their last two games before the hiatus but that win is their only one in nine matches and they had to score in the 92nd and 96th minutes to salvage a point against Atleti.
