Stuttgart look to be on course for an immediate return to German football's top table and they may be able to edge closer with a victory against Braunschweig.

Five straight Bundesliga 2 victories have put Stuttgart in the driving seat and much of the credit for their season has gone to striker Simon Terodde.

He has proved an excellent acquisition from Bochum and the 29-year-old had contributed 15 league goals to the effort, including eight in his last ten matches, so it is no surprise to see him favoured to score the game's first goal.

However, Braunschweig have promotion ambitions of their own and are definitely not out of the picture after a victory at Sandhausen ended a run of five matches without a win that stretched across the Christmas break.

Braunschweig have been beaten just once on their own patch this season but they have kept only two clean sheets in those 11 matches and they could prove vulnerable.

Stuttgart have not been prolific on their travels. They have scored 15 goals in 11 road trips, but they should be buzzing after their fine recent run and may just edge it.

However, it could prove prudent to take the draw-no-bet option rather than backing an outright win for the visitors, as the game looks set to be tight.
