St Pat's can gain the point they require to escape drop

It was always likely that the battle to avoid demotion to Division One would go to the wire and so it is, with supporters of Galway United especially anxious about Friday's action.

United host Dundalk, a match that was not priced by any firm until late on Thursday, with the traders seemingly deeply unsure of what to make of the live game.

Jordi Balk and Owen Garvan have been major influences as the Saints improved their form late in the campaign but both miss out against Derry, who have already qualified for Europe and cannot be in any way confidently fancied to perform at the moment.

Pat's are one of the best teams in the country just now, although that is a reflection of others having taken their foot off the gas. They can get at the very least a draw, and appeal draw no bet in what is not an especially alluring round of matches for punters.

Sligo ought to get the job done in Drogheda, but 1-2 might be best left alone. The Drogs won against Finn Harps earlier in the week and are capable of causing Rovers problems.
