Verdict

Peterborough's Sky Bet League One promotion push was dented by a 4-3 defeat at Blackpool on Saturday but Darren Ferguson's free-scoring side can respond by defeating mid-table Shrewsbury.

The weekend was massively frustrating for Posh, who missed the chance to climb into the top two.

But they are a danger to any team in the division thanks to potent attacking trio Marcus Maddison, Mohamed Eisa and Ivan Toney, who were all on target against Blackpool, taking their respective league goal tallies to nine, 12 and 12.

Shrewsbury are going to have to defend well but they are weakened by the absence of regular right-back Ro-Shaun Williams, who was sent off towards the end of Saturday's 1-0 loss at Wycombe.

Ipswich lost top spot after Wycombe's weekend victory but they will return to the summit if they defeat 14th-placed Rochdale at Spotland.

Paul Lambert's side are warm favourites but will have to make do without influential attacking right-back Kane Vincent-Young, who faces a spell on the sidelines after undergoing groin surgery.
