Blackburn v Derby

Derby are snapping at the heels of Bristol City in the race for the top six and should make light work of a Blackburn team lingering in No-Man's Land in the Sky Bet Championship standings.

Tony Mowbray's men could be missing two crucial players for the visit of the Rams.

The absence of Bradley Dack (hamstring) hinders their attacking threat and, with skipper Charlie Mulgrew (ankle) sidelined, their defence could be bullied by a County team who steered six past lowly Rotherham at the end of March.

Recommendation

Preston v Leeds

Leeds suffered a major setback in their push for the top two with defeat to Birmingham but opponents Preston have also been in patchy form and backing goals could be the best punting strategy.

United’s top scorer Kemar Roofe was afforded 20 minutes' action from the bench last time out and could enhance their attacking prowess with a start, while North End have notched in five of their last six fixtures. They can play their part in a high-scoring affair.

Recommendation
Both teams to score & over 2.5 goals
1pt 11-8 Hills

Sheffield Wednesday v Nottingham Forest

Both teams could have one eye on next campaign already as their playoff hopes fade and punters should not expect a humdinger at Hillsborough.

Since Steve Bruce's arrival in February, Owls fans have had to endure four goalless draws and only four of their 12 matches in his tenure have featured more than two goals.

Opponents Forest have failed to claim wins on the road to lowly Rotherham, Ipswich and Stoke in their last three away fixtures and, with just one point separating the teams, it could be a tight affair.

Recommendation
Under 2.5 goals
1pt 4-6 general

Swansea v Stoke

Stoke are enjoying a run of six successive clean sheets in England's second tier but they could be breached first by a whirlwind Swansea attack at the Liberty Stadium.

The Welsh outfit have little to play for as the season reaches its climax but their front line are doing all they can to impress Graham Potter, none more so than possible Tottenham target Daniel James.

The winger has scored four goals and laid on six assists this term. He can torment the static Potters back four with his blistering pace and could be a value bet to draw first blood.

Recommendation
D James to score first

Bolton v Middlesbrough - 8pm Tuesday

A 3-1 defeat to Swansea cast serious doubt over the future of Tony Pulis at Middlesbrough but they can respond to their run of six consecutive defeats with maximum points away to Bolton.

Boro's concerns are just a drop in the ocean compared to the problems plaguing the Trotters, who lost to basement boys Ipswich at the weekend and continue to tackle off-field financial issues.

There are 26 points separating these sides in the table and, as they did in a comfortable 2-0 win in the reverse fixture, Middlesbrough can assert their superiority.

Recommendation
Middlesbrough
1pt 10-11 Betway, Coral
