With their La Liga away-day hoodoo at an end this looks an ideal opportunity for Seville to land another road success against Dinamo Zagreb.

The Europa League winners have not won an away match in the Champions League since October 2009 but this is not the usual level of opponent for a match in Europe’s elite tournament.

Seville failed to win on the road in La Liga last season and were winless on their travels this term until Saturday’s 3-2 success at Leganes, which kept Jorge Sampaoli’s men just one point off the pace being set by Real and Atletico Madrid.

That is miles superior to anything Dinamo Zagreb are capable of achieving. In all 12 previous Uefa club competition group stages they went out before the knockout phase.

Dinamo are not even top dogs in Croatia this season as they lie six points behind Rijeka after 12 league rounds.
