Preview

There's a cracking festive fixture list in the Scottish Premiership and there look to be a couple of bets for punters to get stuck into.

At 27-10 it's hard to ignore the chances of Motherwell when they host Livingston.

Graham Alexander's side have lost just two of their last seven top-flight matches, in a run that has seen them beat Aberdeen, Hearts, Dundee United and St Johnstone.

Perhaps Motherwell's league position flatters them slightly but they have lost just three times at Fir Park this term and those defeats came against big boys Rangers, Celtic and Hibs.

It's three wins on the bounce on their own patch for the Well and that run doesn't look like it is going to be snapped by Livingston.

Livi are putting up the worst numbers in the Scottish Premiership and it's difficult to get excited about a side who have scored just six goals in their last nine games.

Of course, David Martindale's men have beaten Dundee United and Hibs in recent weeks, but they were outplayed in both of those contests and they are likely to come unstuck on their trip to North Lanarkshire.

Aberdeen have been hit fairly hard by injuries this season and they haven't enjoyed a great deal of good fortune on the pitch either. However, it's three wins in four for the Dons and they look rock-solid favourites at home to Dundee.

Stephen Glass's side are moving in the right direction and they have managed a draw against Rangers and wins over Hibs and Hearts this term.

Dundee have won only one away league game this season and worryingly they have scored just five goals in nine road trips. At 4-6 Aberdeen look overpriced.
