Preview

Aberdeen have taken seven points from their last three games and they look good value to extend that positive series of results at home to Motherwell.

The Dons have tackled Hibs, Rangers and Hearts in that run and avoiding defeat against three of the division's top sides is good going.

Prior to those contests Aberdeen had lost five in a row but they had been playing better than that suggests and they are certainly taking a more forward-thinking approach.

Aberdeen managed 22 shots on goal, 17 of which were on target, in a dominant 2-1 win over Hearts last weekend and they face a likely dejected Motherwell side on Saturday.

The Well were crushed 6-1 by Rangers at Fir Park on Sunday and Graham Alexander's men spent much of the game chasing the ball.

Their captain Stephen O'Donnell is suspended after he was sent off against the champions, and that's not going to help the chances of a side who have shipped 13 goals in their last five matches.

Aberdeen have five defenders - Mikey Devlin, Declan Gallagher, Calvin Ramsay, Jack MacKenzie and Andy Considine - on the sidelines, so Scott Brown is likely to fill in at centre-back and that may see the Dons take an even more attacking approach.

Backing Aberdeen to win and the Dons to triumph in a high-scoring clash may be the way to go.
