Saturday's betting preview

Falkirk were excellent in last weekend's 2-0 win over Edinburgh and the Bairns look good value to collect another three points at Clyde on Saturday afternoon.

Falkirk registered 23 shots on goal and had 61 per cent possession in that victory and the League One title contenders have lost just two of their last ten matches.

One of those defeats came against leaders Dunfermline earlier this month. However, Bairns were slightly unfortunate to lose 1-0 given they bossed the ball and had nine shots on target to the Pars' seven.

Falkirk have managed 19 shots on goal at Queen of the South, 13 at Montrose and 23 at Peterhead this season, which suggests they should be well up to beating a struggling Clyde side.

The Bully Wee held Dunfermline to a 2-2 draw last time out, but they were a tad fortunate to gain a point in a match that snapped a run of seven straight defeats.

Jim Duffy has replaced Danny Lennon in the New Douglas Park dugout, but the returning gaffer is likely to have to wait for his first victory in his second spell at the club.

Dundee’s bid to return to the Scottish Premiership appears to be moving in the right direction and they should prove far too strong for Championship rivals Hamilton. However, that hasn’t been missed by punters with the Dee now 4-9 shots having opened up at 8-13.
