Fifth-round preview
The Scottish Cup fifth-round draw threw up some interesting contests and the potential for some upsets.
Rangers should make light work of their trip to League Two Annan, while Celtic have home advantage against Championship side Raith.
However, one tie that doesn't look so straightforward for the Premiership outfit is Hibernian's clash with Arbroath.
The Red Lichties are top of the second-tier table and they are making a strong push to be playing SPL football next season. There's no fluke about the position of Dick Campbell's men and their performances have certainly warranted a run which has seen them lose only one of their last 17 matches.
Of course the part-timers step-up in class to face Hibs, but this match looks to set up nicely for Arbroath. The Hibees were involved in a gruelling clash at Ibrox on Wednesday, and rookie boss Shaun Maloney now has to decide whether to freshen up his squad or select a potentially jaded side.
Either way, Hibs have hardly been in sparkling form. That defeat to Rangers in midweek made it six SPL games without a win for Maloney's men and they even needed extra-time to see off League One Cove in the previous round of this competition.
Hibs can be sure of a frosty welcome, from both Arbroath and the weather on the edge of the North Sea, and it would be no surprise if the Hibees were blown away.
